For those who find it difficult to access Swedish books abroad, e-books and audiobooks can be a good alternative. Some Swedish libraries allow you to apply via email for a library card that grants you access to their e-books and audiobooks. Explore the library's <a href=\"http:\/\/bibblix.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bibblix app<\/a>!   <\/p>\n<p>You can also find audiobooks on <a href=\"https:\/\/urplay.se\/bladdra\/radio\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UR Play<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sverigesradio.se\/barnradion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barnradion<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spotify.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spotify<\/a> (in some countries, you may need to get a Swedish IP address via a VPN service to register).<br \/>If you wish, you can try digital subscription services such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ztory.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ztory<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextory.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nextory<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.storytel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Storytel<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bokus.com\/play\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bokus Play<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bookbeat.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bookbeat<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inlasningstjanst.se\/tjanster-for-larare\/polyglutt-skola\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polyglutt<\/a> app combines images and sound, allowing children to listen and read along to books. <\/p>\n<p>Books recommended by SMUL parents:<br \/>Astrid Lindgren's books, Alfons \u00c5berg, Mamma Mu, Bamse, Pettson and Findus, the Moomin books, Pelle Svansl\u00f6s, Viggos ord, Prostens barnbarn, Super-Charlie, Sagasagor, Vitnos, LasseMaja, Nelly Rapp, H\u00e5kan Br\u00e5kan, Doctor Proctor, Den magiska djuraff\u00e4ren, Jakten p\u00e5 Jack, Kapten Kalsong, The Famous Five books, the Pax series.<\/p>\n<p>When your child starts learning to read, don't miss the popular easy-to-read series about Axel and Omar and Klass 1b by Helena Bross, as well as Livat p\u00e5 Lingonv\u00e4gen by Janina Kastevik.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_1 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-toggle--default\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Children's Programs and Movies<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix et_flex_module\"><p>Let the children watch Swedish children's programs on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svt.se\/barnkanalen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barnkanalen<\/a> on SVT! A prerequisite for watching all programs abroad is to get a Swedish IP address with a VPN service \u2013 it's both easy and inexpensive. <\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/urplay.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UR Play<\/a>, there are plenty of educational programs to listen to and watch. One of the most popular is <a href=\"https:\/\/urplay.se\/serie\/178136-livet-i-bokstavslandet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Livet i Bokstavslandet<\/a>, for children who want to learn about letters. <\/p>\n<p>If you want a large selection of children's movies, you can get <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfkids.com\/sv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SF Kids<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.disneyplus.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disney+<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Netflix<\/a>, where you have the option to choose Swedish as the spoken language.<\/p>\n<p>Parents recommend the following children's programs (most for younger children):<br \/>Sp\u00f6ket Laban, Lilla Anna och l\u00e5nga farbrorn, Pippi, Pettson och Findus, Bamse, Greta Gris, Lilla r\u00f6da traktorn, Babblarna, Daniel Tiger, Bing, Totte och Emma, Dora, Bolibompa, Nicke Nyfiken, Byggare Bob, Pokoyo, Dr\u00f6mmarnas tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd, Barbapappa, Fem myror \u00e4r fler \u00e4n fyra elefanter, Dunderklumpen, Resan till Melonia. Some of these can be found on YouTube. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_2 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-toggle--default\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Game Apps<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix et_flex_module\"><p>In the enormous selection of game apps, it can be difficult to find the right one, but help is available! On <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pappasappar.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PappasAppar<\/a>, you can read many reviews that make it easier to find fun and educational apps for your child. On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skolappar.nu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Skolappar<\/a>, apps are reviewed by teachers.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elevspel.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elevspel<\/a> contains various educational games for school.<\/p>\n<p>Apps recommended by parents:<br \/>Bamse, ABC-klubben, Tripp Trapp Tr\u00e4d, Mamma Mu, Pettson &amp; Findus, Bolibompa, ABC-raketen, Alfons \u00c5berg, Pippi, LasseMaja, Kalle Kunskap, Duolingo, DinoLingo, Radioapan, Radioapans kojtr\u00e4d, Ordkronan, Trilo stavar, Happi Pappi, Poio, Skrivguiden, Skolstil, LetterSchool, Hitta Ord, Memrise, Luvlingua.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_3 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-toggle--default\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Music<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix et_flex_module\"><p>A great way to subtly incorporate more Swedish into everyday life is through music. On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spotify.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spotify<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a>, you can find Swedish children's songs. <a href=\"https:\/\/sverigesradio.se\/barnradion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barnradion<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svt.se\/barnkanalen\/for-vuxna\/om-appen-bolibompa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bolibompa<\/a> also have music on their apps. <\/p>\n<p>Children's music recommended by parents on Spotify and YouTube: Barnplaneten, Kompisbandet, Barnkammarboken, Hopphatten, Babyloonz, Mora Tr\u00e4sk, Mamma Mu-visor f\u00f6r hela kroppen.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bonniercarlsen.se\/bocker\/225730\/den-silvriga-barnkammarboken\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">silver children's songbook<\/a> with accompanying CD is a beloved songbook.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_4 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-toggle--default\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Radio Programs<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix et_flex_module\"><p>Swedish Radio has children's programs. Check out the overview on <a href=\"http:\/\/sverigesradio.se\/sida\/barn.aspx?programid=3878\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barnradion<\/a> online. Here you'll find lots of different content for children \u2013 stories, music, games, crafts, etc.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_5 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-toggle--default\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Magazines<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix et_flex_module\"><p>The comic magazines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bamse.se\/prenumerera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bamse<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bamse.se\/prenumerera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bamse f\u00f6r de yngsta<\/a> are recommended by SMUL parents. You can subscribe to Bamse abroad, but you can also choose to read the magazine digitally, for example, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/se.readly.com\/products\/magazine\/bamse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Readly<\/a> app.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kpwebben.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kamratposten<\/a> is a popular magazine that targets a slightly older audience than Bamse.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_6 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-toggle--default\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Board Games<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix et_flex_module\"><p>Even though many children might prefer digital games, we must not forget about playing board games. Have fun together while your child learns a lot by, for example, playing Sm\u00e5 kloka barn p\u00e5 bokstavsjakt, Barnens alfapet, Barn Alias, or Fem myror \u00e4r fler \u00e4n fyra elefanter.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_toggle_7 et_pb_toggle et_pb_toggle_item et_pb_toggle_close et_pb_module et_flex_module preset--module--divi-toggle--default\"><h5 class=\"et_pb_toggle_title\">Other<\/h5><div class=\"et_pb_toggle_content clearfix et_flex_module\"><p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lektion.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lektion.se<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lektionsbanken.se\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lektionsbanken<\/a>, you can find a lot of material that you can use to teach your child Swedish.
