6 August 2024 | News

We are proud to present Karolin Eriksson as the new principal of SMUL Academy. Karolin, with her extensive experience and passion for education, will lead our school to new heights.

Who is Karolin Eriksson?
Karolin currently lives in Barcelona with her partner and their two children, aged 4 and 8. In Barcelona, she works at the Swedish school as a teacher and is also active on the school board, where she drives important issues regarding pedagogy and education.

An Impressive Background
Karolin holds a teaching degree for preschool through grade 3 and has also completed the principal training program at Stockholm University. She has several years of experience working as a teacher in both preschool and school settings. For the past seven years, she has worked as assistant principal at Vittra Preschool in Solna. During her time there, she has been instrumental in development projects concerning teaching and systematic quality improvement.

Passion for Development
Karolin’s passion for her work shines through in everything she does. She says:

“I am passionate about working with development – of students, staff, operations, and myself. I am very happy and excited about the assignment as principal of SMUL. Having the opportunity through SMUL to pass on the Swedish language to students around the world is a privilege. Through language, the individual develops; it creates belonging and self-esteem. Through SMUL, we can give children and students the opportunity to maintain, develop, and broaden their Swedish language skills, which creates significant opportunities for life and development going forward.”

Communication and Accessibility
Karolin speaks Swedish, English, and some Spanish, which makes her well-equipped to communicate with both students and parents in our international environment. She is always available to answer questions or discuss ideas, and you can reach her via email at rektor@svenskautomlands.org.

We look forward to seeing how Karolin will contribute to SMUL Academy’s continued success and development. Welcome, Karolin Eriksson – we are delighted to have you with us!
